I've read a few books by Mark Taylor and enjoyed them all but this is the best.The author has succeeded in writing what will undoubtedly be described as science fiction whilst thankfully sparing us all the pretence and show-off-ery I normally associate with much of the genre.
I find this an intelligent and compelling read which doesn't take itself too seriously but carries a strong underlying message for those that are paying attention. For everyone else, waiting for Captain Bloke to make his next quip about Fish and Chips Bananas is more than enough to keep us reading.
There are ideas in this book I've not read even hinted at elsewhere and it feels as if the author has seen through shallow (cool) concepts of the future and imagined what it really will be like when everything we can think of now has been invented and become tiresome already. Whilst Captain Bloke and the author continue to be non conformist and fly in the face of received wisdom I will remain an ardent fan.

A captivating read from start to finish. I will definitely be keeping an eye our for more of Mark Anthony Taylor's work. A printed version would also be appreciated!
A nice entertainment. Interesting concepts about where our social values are taking us. But the reading would be so much more fluid with just a little proofreading. Judas priest, man; get a real, live editor! Still and all, thanks for an engaging character and a thought-provoking tale.
